We are currently working on V2 of our heat exchanger. This should offer improved fitment, adjustment of connections through threaded ports, and other minor tweaks to improve overall utility and installation ease in smaller platform vehicles (S4, S5, etc). The size will remain the same and there is no expected performance changes.

What's included with the GP Ice Heat Exchanger?
The heat exchanger itself with its quad-pass core and TIG-welded aluminum construction, plus a complete install kit for a direct-fit installation into your existing cooling system.

Is this a direct bolt-in, or does it require cutting or modification?
It's designed for a direct fit that integrates with your vehicle's existing cooling system. V2 specifically improves connection adjustability (threaded ports) and overall fitment ease on the smaller S4/S5/Q5/SQ5 platforms compared to the original version.

Why is this listed as pre-order, and when will it ship?
V2 is currently in active development and testing - we're validating multiple multi-pass configurations alongside our CWA-100 and CWA-150 water accelerators to land on the optimal setup before this ships. Because of that, we can't commit to a firm delivery date yet. If you're not comfortable with an open-ended wait, please hold off on ordering until it's off pre-order.

How much more cooling capacity does this offer over the factory heat exchanger?
182% more dimensional volume than the OE exchanger, and about 13% more than Audi's own larger S6 exchanger - while using the same overall footprint as the outgoing version, so no expected changes to how it fits in the engine bay.

Should I pair this with anything else in my cooling system?
Most builds running the GP Ice are also upgrading their water pump - see the Vorsprung Water Accelerator VWA-100 below - since a bigger heat exchanger is only as effective as the flow feeding it.
