Installation

- Use the factory specifications to torque the hub to the engine

- For the pulley to hub:

• Use blue Loctite
• First, tighten to 22 ft/lbs in a star pattern to preload the bolt
• Then tighten to 44 ft/lbs also in a star pattern, and torque twice.

Will an overdrive crank pulley trigger a check engine light or require a tune?
No dedicated tune is required just to install the pulley, but because it raises supercharger speed (and boost) across the RPM range, we recommend logging or having your tuner confirm your fueling and knock levels can support the added airflow, especially if you're already running a smaller pulley or an aggressive tune.

Do I need a new belt?
A pulley diameter change alters belt wrap and tension slightly. We recommend having a fresh TorqueDrive Supercharger Belt on hand, and check that your tensioner (see our billet tensioner pulley) has enough remaining travel.

What size pulley should I choose?
Smaller/overdrive pulley rings spin the supercharger faster relative to the crank, for quicker spool and stronger mid-range; larger sizes are milder, closer-to-stock options. Do I need to upgrade my crank pulley bolts?
The factory bolts are a common weak point under repeated removal/torque cycles. We recommend our Unzerstörbar Grade 14.9 bolt kit for extra insurance, though 12.9-grade hardware is included with every pulley.
