SPEC Clutch Flywheel steel
SPEC Steel Flywheel - BMW 335 3.0L fr 2/2009 production, 6-Bolt 2009-2012, SPEC Clutch SB53S-3
Description
SPEC Clutch Kit and Flywheel Notes: These kits feature a non-SAC mechanism pressure plate, which, deviating from the original design, provides a lighter rotating assembly, higher rpm capability, and greater clamp load levels. Required for the install is a billet rebuildable flywheel that features a lightweight, low MOI design and infinite rebuildability. The billet aluminum flywheel weighs 14lbs and billet steel 22 lbs. (please note that some of the information here may pertain the clutch kits designed to work with these Flywheels)
SPEC billet flywheels are manufactured and developed for specific driving environments and recommended based on how each car reacts to changes in rotating mass. SPEC flywheels are NOT a one-fits-all lightweight flywheel, though they can be used for an array of driving habits and racing/ high-performance applications. Consult a SPEC representative for a recommendation. Manufactured from only the highest quality steel and aluminum, they are the only flywheels on the market manufactured to a .001 machine tolerance, guaranteeing a flat seating surface for the clutch and smooth rotational qualities for perfect balance and extended engine life. Aluminum Flywheels are generally half the weight of stock steel flywheels. Aluminum Flywheels provide faster revving, less drag on the engine, and quicker response then heavier Steel Flywheels. Steel Flywheels tend to be a little easier to drive on the street due to the fact they lose less RPMS will shifting. Aluminum Flywheels also feature a replaceable steel friction plate.
About SPEC Clutch: SPEC is a Manufacturer of street high performance and racing clutches and flywheels. Featuring Clutch Kits From street kit Stage 1, 2, 2+, 3, and 3+ to Race Kits Stage 4 and 5. And now the SPEC Super Twin with TQ ratings of over 1500 FT TQ! Every SPEC Clutch Kit and Flywheel has been SFI Approved.
