Nissan R33/RB25DET Billet Idle Air Control Valve (IACV)
Introducing the Outsider Garage Billet Idle Air control Valve for the Nissan RB25DET. Designed around the 3 bolt R33 IACV flange, this billet housing uses a common GM 4 pin Stepper motor that is easy to source and setup. We've also added 6AN ORB inlet threads so you can choose to use a hose fitting or an upgraded AN line. Flows approximately 20% more air than OEM.
Why use a 4 pin Stepper vs the OE 2 pin?
- A 4-pin stepper idle air control (IAC) valve has more precise control over air flow compared to a 2-pin stepper IAC valve, as the additional pins allow for finer motor control with more "steps" per rotation, enabling smaller adjustments to the air intake, while a 2-pin stepper typically offers only basic open/closed positions for the valve.
- 4-pin stepper IAC valves are often found in modern vehicles that need precise idle speed control, while 2-pin stepper IAC valves might be used in older vehicles where less precise control is needed.
- As you upgrade your RB further from stock, you may require more control and greater range in your IACV in order to maintain proper idle. Tired OEM units will normally fall short of maintaining idle in heavily modified engines.
NOTE: An aftermarket ECU that supports a 4 pin stepper is required to use this IACV - will not work with OEM ECU.
