Borne Off-Road 2017+ Ford F-150 Raptor Skid Plate Engine BNSD-F35T-17E
BRN Skid Plate
Whether you’re taking your Raptor through the trails, over the dunes, or to the office, added protection is always a benefit. While the Raptor comes from the factory with a front skid plate, it still leaves all the components on the underside of your engine bay, such as your oil pan, cross member, and front differential, vulnerable to damage. Added protection is just as important on the highway as it is on the trail. With the Borne Off-Road Engine Skid Plate installed, you can be confident that all those important bits are safe and protected. Designed to be tough as nails, the Borne Off-Road Engine Skid Plate is constructed from 5/32-inch plate steel and is ready to take whatever abuse you can to throw at it. Additional mounting points have been added to provide superior strength and those mounting points are all recessed to provide a smooth bottom surface. This eliminates the potential to shear off or get hardware caught on obstacles. All corners and edges are bent at 80-degrees and reinforced to provide even greater strength. To ensure a long-lasting and durable finish, they are first electroplated via electro-galvanization and then powdercoated black. Designed to be direct-fit and including all hardware, install should take less than an hour with basic hand tools. Available for purchase individually, or for more protection, check out the Borne Off-Road Powertrain Skid Plate Kit. For the ultimate undercarriage protection, check out the Borne Off-Road Complete Skid Plate Kit. As with all our products, this skid plate comes with our signature Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Are OEM products more expensive than aftermarket alternatives?
OEM products might have a higher upfront cost compared to aftermarket parts, but their superior quality and durability often make them a more cost-effective choice over time. Investing in OEM ensures you’re getting parts specifically designed for your vehicle, which can lead to better performance and longevity.
Can I purchase OEM parts online or do I need to visit a dealership?
You don’t need to visit a dealership to get OEM parts. You can conveniently purchase genuine OEM components from authorized distributors and reputable online retailers like Turbo Tech Performance. Our online store provides a wide selection of high-quality parts delivered straight to your door.
Are parts from brands like Mopar, ACDelco, and Motorcraft interchangeable between different vehicle brands?
No, parts from Mopar, ACDelco, and Motorcraft are typically designed for specific vehicle brands. It’s crucial to ensure compatibility with your vehicle’s make and model by checking part numbers and consulting with a knowledgeable expert.
Can I install OEM parts myself, or is it better to have a professional handle it?
While some OEM parts can be installed by DIY enthusiasts, the complexity of installation can vary. For the best results and to ensure proper fitment and performance, we recommend having a trained mechanic install the parts, especially if you’re unfamiliar with automotive repairs.
