ARM Motorsports AUDI A3 S3 8V CATTED DOWNPIPE - AWD
HIGHLIGHTS
• Faster Turbo Spool
• Improved Exhaust Note
PROFILE
Take your Audi A3 8V to the next level of tuning with the all-new ARM A3 8V Catted Downpipe. Upgrading the downpipe on your Audi A3 is essential if you're looking to get the most power out of your Gen 3 E888 engine. The OEM A3 downpipe is restrictive, preventing you from running any more than a basic Stage 1 tune safely. The ARM A3 Downpipe relieves your turbo of excessive backpressure, allowing you to increase the boost by flashing to Stage 2 maps and beyond. The result is faster turbo spool, increased power and torque, and an improved exhaust note.
CONSTRUCTION
Constructed of TIG welded T304 grade stainless steel, the ARM A3 Downpipe is designed to fit perfectly, and last the lifetime of your Audi A3. The ARM A3 Catted Downpipe is comprised of 3 sections: an upper section, midpipe section, and adapter. Each section of the ARM A3 8V Downpipe is joined by precision machined v-band connections. These v-band connections allow for a secure and leak-free joint between all sections of the ARM A3 Downpipe.
The laser-cut mounting bracket and CNC machined mounting prongs make for a precise fitment to your stock downpipe mounting points.
The ARM A3 Catted Downpipe kit comes with a reducer to connect to any exhaust system that fits the stock slip joint. It also comes with a straight 3" section to connect to catback systems that support a 3" transition between the downpipe and catback section.
The ARM A3 Catted Downpipe incorporates a stainless steel flex section between the turbo and mid-pipe mounting point. The addition of this flex section reduces tension on turbocharger caused from torsion during hard acceleration, cornering, and braking.
This catted version of the ARM A3 Downpipe incorporates a 200 Cell High-Flow Catalyst to reduce exhaust fumes and chance of getting a check engine light (CEL). This does not guarantee you will not get a CEL. The catalyst in located in the OEM position, therefore it does not require any extra O2 sensor extension wires, and properly warms up compared to downstream catalyst placement.
