7.3L Power Stroke EBPV Connector Plug
1994 - 2003 F-Series/Super Duty EBPV Delete Connector Plug for 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel
Deleting the EBPV (exhaust backpressure valve) requires disconnecting the actuator, which will set a "soft" DTC. Soft codes do not typically trigger the check engine light nor do they have any adverse effects on engine performance, there will simply be a DTC set and stored in the PCM. The code can be cleared, but is going to reappear with every engine start-up since the PCM will be looking for the now-defunt EBPV actuator and will only find an open circuit.
This EBPV connector plug is assembled with the proper resistor so that the PCM will think it detects the EBPV actuator and will not set the DTC. Simply mate this plug with the EBPV wiring harness connector and you're all set. 1994 to 1997 model year trucks utilize a different connector than 1999 to 2003 model year trucks; be sure to select the correct plug for your application.
FEATURES
- Gives PCM the illusion that the EBPV actuator (solenoid) is connected
- Eliminates soft DTC from being set when converting to a non-EBPV turbo pedestal
- Seals and protects wiring harness connector
- Made in USA

INSTALLATION NOTES
Connector plug is completely plug-and-play for 1994 - 1997 model years.
1999 to 2003 model years require a zip tie (included) to lock the tang of the connector plug. An instruction brochure indicating this procedure is included with connector plugs for 1999 to 2003 model years.
Connector plug should be secured to existing wiring harness after installation, i.e. do not leave connector loose and hanging in the engine compartment.
