    This kit is genuine Motorcraft, It goes on the 6.7L diesels that power the F series superduty. Change your filters, I’d recommend also your PCV filter too, that gets loaded with oil and causes the regen cycle to keep going off by feeding it back into your turbo!

    Got my order within 3 days. It was a 20 minute job. Well worth the money savings rather than having another Servicer change them for you. Very easy DIY. Ford OEM parts, Fit perfectly. The time to change them would have been less, but you have to drain the diesel from the lift pump. If you like saving money and getting the satisfaction that You made the repair, then go head and order. I think that it it fits on all 6.7 Power Stoke engines. Mine is a 2014 F350.

    I’m a mechanic, have worked on many different vehicles and used many different filters. I can tell you that they’re not all the same. The fuel system on todays diesels are sensitive to oil pressure, fuel pressure and exposure to water. Water in fuel is harmful to fuel injectors and the engine. No offense but most humans are lazy and just want to blame anyone or anything else. This car stinks or these parts are poorly made! Which could’ve been avoided if on time maintenance was done. When was th
    e last time you saw someone change their own oil or check things out under the hood? Diesels need the fuel/water separator checked monthly but it’s not done. Manufacturers know this and try to help. This is achieved with a “water in fuel” warning light and a special fuel filter. The Ford OEM fuel filter kit is a must have. The primary, frame mounted filter is unique and no other aftermarket fuel filter maker has duplicated their design. Only Motorcraft has a special secondary filtering screen on the primary filter. This screen sheds water molecules and hold them in the separator housing, to be later drained. All the other aftermarket filters allow water droplets to pass through.

    if you are going to do this and are going to do it watching a youtube video, please make sure the video is for your exact year truck. there are slight differences in some years from others that could cause issues. also have a good size drain pan. the frame filter is fairly high off the ground and diesel will stink up your garage fast. otherwise it’s very easy to install and on top of what you are charged at some dealerships to replace the filters , this is about 50$ cheaper than buying the filt
    ers from the dealer.

    I’ve been installing these for about 8 years now and just wanted to share that I have the best success when I put the frame side filter in the housing before screwing on the plastic filter enclosure. When I try to put the paper filter in the enclosure first, it generally does not seat into the truck frame filter housing straight. When this happens you will receive fuel pressure engine codes. A clear symptom of a bad frame side seal is that a new noise will be audible from the frame housing, i
    ndicating air is bypassing the o-ring seal.Do it right the first time, put the paper filter into the truck side housing before screwing on the water bowl. Some fuel may leak out during the process.

    The primary filter installed easier than the aftermarket one I used last time. The gasket was either more accurately sized or better lubricated as it tightened up with a lot less force. It is however significantly more than the competition part.

    Great filter. For those reviews that say there truck wouldn’t start after install…. They didn’t tighten the frame filter enough. I did the same. Even got it to run but got limp mode. Got the wrench back out and tightened the bowl 1 more turn and the truck fired up and ran great. No codes and plenty of power. Will buy again

    I made the mistake, once, of buying a non-OEM set of filters for my truck, and while they weren’t “bad”, the OEM ones just fit better.It’s and easy choice these days, I just get the OEM part when I replace the fuel filters and I know I have everything in the kit I need, including a new gasket, for the body mounted filter.Could I save a few bucks with the “other one”? – yes. Do I think it’s worth it? No. I recommend these for your 6.7 powerstroke.
