I had difficulty getting the cap to go on straight and found its best to press the filter into the cap first, cautious not to smash and distort the filter. Once it’s in the cap it’s easier to get the cap threaded on

It came in a ford package. The filter had made in the USA on the plastic but the small filter is slightly different from the motorcraft one I was replacing. It was off enough to make installing a major pain because the cap would not stay level.

The previous filter installed was from NAPA. Due to a design flaw, that filter had only about 30% contact. This new filter has a weep hole that orients to the top of the housing creating 100% filter to fuel contact.

If you buy anything besides OEM parts for your 6.0 you’ll likely regret it. These will keep your truck on the road. Just know that on the lower unit, there is a wrap whole that needs to face upwards. When installing put it facing the frame rail and then turn clockwise to lock in place

I own 2 6.0 powerstroke Ford F250’s I will only use OEM motorcraft fuel and oil filters. The motorcraft fuel filters have a hole on the top of the horizontal bottom filter that allows it to bleed out and thus using nearly all of the filter. And they are a great price on here $45 vs $90 at a Ford dealership!

Early 04 f250 6.0 perfect fit. Bought a knock off brand on here to save $ and absolutely a waste. Top one had no o-ring inside it and neither one sealed properly. These came w o-rings in small one and the ones for the caps. I couldn’t ask for a better product. I will definitely buy this again from the same seller

It is a must to use either OEM or Racor fuel filters in your 6.0. Other aftermarkets I’ve will encountered either not be water separating at the primary filter, have poor quality o rings allowing fuel to bypass, or not have the weep hole on the primary filter, entrapping air in your HFCM. Just shell out for the Motorcraft and save your expensive injectors please.
